On July 31st, 2010, French musician Jean Michel Jarre offered an spectacular show at Plaza del Obradoiro, in Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
With his career going down, without publishing a new album since 1997 and embarked on a great hits in-doors tour, the Santiago concert was a déjà vu, a return to the mega-shows that made him world famous. For two hours of light, lasers and fireworks, the French man shared his greatest hits, from Oxygene to Chronologie, thru Rendez Vous. With their beats, the cathedral danced in a thousand colours. Maybe the sound experimentation of Variation III took someone out of the dream, but when Rendez Vous 4 starts playing and the eight thousand souls in the square jump together as only one, it’s understood who Jarre is and what role he plays in the history of music.
